Alto Electronics and Shanghai Jiao Tong University Electrical Engineering Institute jointly build a joint intelligent video laboratory

On the morning of July 23, the "Intelligent Video Joint Laboratory" jointly built by the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Shenzhen Alto Electronics Co., Ltd. was officially unveiled at the Alto Electronics headquarters.

The Intelligent Video Joint Laboratory was established based on the development needs of Alto Electronics industry and the strengthening of "AI + video" capabilities. It mainly focuses on two research directions:

The first is the core technology direction of artificial intelligence visual analysis. Its goal is to form key core basic technology achievements in artificial intelligence training platforms, edge computing reasoning, multi-modal user behavior recognition, Internet of Things applications, smart finance and other scenarios by studying key technologies such as computer vision, edge computing, cloud computing and cloud-edge collaboration.

The second is the direction of LED professional display technology. Its goal is to form key core basic technology achievements in XR/VP virtual shooting, ultra-high-definition professional display, digital movie playback and other aspects by studying key technologies such as 8K ultra-high-definition display, high dynamic contrast range, low-brightness and low-grayscale processing, video encoding and decoding and low-latency transmission, large-bandwidth high-speed data communication, color adjustment and calibration technology, real-time rendering and virtual-real fusion.

Chairman Wu Hanqu of AOTO Electronics pointed out in his speech that this time he and Shanghai Jiao Tong University’s Electronic Information and Electrical EngineeringThe institute jointly established the "Intelligent Video Joint Laboratory" in the hope that through 3-5 years of efforts, the strengths of both parties will be pooled to overcome a number of technical problems, thereby producing a number of technological innovation results and achieving a win-win situation between the school and the enterprise.
